What We Believe

Statement Of Faith

The following is just a summarization of the fundamental Bible doctrines that we firmly stand upon.

The Bible

We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are verbally and fully inspired by God. We believe that they are without error, and the absolute and final authority for faith and practice. We believe that the Authorized King James Bible is the preserved word of God for the English-speaking world.(Psalms 12:6-7, II Timothy 3:15-17, I Peter 1:23-25, II Peter 1:19-21)

God

We believe in one God who is eternal, immutable, and self-existent. He manifest Himself in three persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

(Deuteronomy 6:4, I Timothy 1:17, James 1:17, Matthew 28:19, I John 5:7)

The Son

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, God manifest in the flesh, and the one and only Saviour of mankind. We believe that He was begotten of the Holy Ghost, born of a virgin, and is truly God and truly man. We believe that He lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, was buried, and bodily rose from the grave the third day. We believe that He ascended into heaven after his resurrection to be seated at the right hand of the Father, and is waiting for the time in which He will receive His Church at the Rapture.

(Isaiah 7:14, 9:6, 43:11, Micah 5:2, Luke 1:26-35, Matt 1:18-25, John 20:31, Romans 3:21-25, Romans 5:6-11, II Corinthians 5:21, Hebrews 9:22, Philippians 2:5-11, I Corinthians 15:40-50, Luke 24:1-8, Acts 1:9, Hebrews 4:14, Acts 2:32-33, I Thessalonians 4:13-18, I Timothy 2:5, John 14:6, I Peter 1:18-19)

The Holy Ghost

We believe that the person of the Holy Ghost is the part of the Trinity of God who reproves the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. We believe that He performs the works of conviction, illumination, regeneration, and preservation. It is He who indwells the believer at salvation, and thus seals them unto the day of redemption. He does not speak of himself, but testifies of Jesus Christ. (John 16:8-11, 15:26, 16:13, II Corinthians 3:6, Romans 8:9, Ephesians 1:13-14)

Man

We believe that man was created in the image of God, but, because of Adam’s sin, mankind fell into depravity. Hence, all men everywhere are sinners by nature, by choice, and totally incapable of saving themselves. (Genesis 1:26-27, Romans 3:22-23, Ephesians 2:1-2, 12, )

Salvation

We believe that salvation is offered to fallen man by the grace of Almighty God. We further believe that this grace has been extended to all men, and can only be received through faith in Jesus Christ who died for our sins, and rose from the grave on the third day. All those who accept this precious gift of God are eternally saved and secure. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 2:11, Romans 10:9-13, John 10:28-29, II Timothy 1:12, I Corinthians 15:1-4, John 14:6)

The Church

We believe that the New Testament church is a local assembly of visible, born again, baptized, believers who have voluntarily joined themselves together to carry out the Great Commission. (Acts 14:27, 20:17, 28-32, I Timothy 3:1-13, Titus 1:5-11)
We believe in the autonomy of the local church free of any external authority or control. Christ is the only head of the church (Acts 13:1-4, 15:19-31, 20:28, Romans 16:1, 4, I Corinthians 3:9,16, 5:4-7,13, I Peter 5:1-4)
We recognize baptism by immersion in water, and the Lord's Supper as the only ordinances for the church. (Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 2:41-42, 18:18, I Corinthians 11:23-26)

Heaven and Hell

We believe that Heaven and Hell are literal places, prepared by God as the only eternal abode. We believe in the eternal blessedness of the saved in Heaven, and the eternal punishment of the lost in the Lake of Fire. (Revelation 20:10-15, Matthew 22:17-21, I Peter 2:17, Acts 5:29)

The Last Days

We believe in a pre-tribulation rapture of the saints that will be followed by seven years of Great Tribulation on the earth. We also believe in the pre-millennial return of Christ to the earth where He will literally rule and reign for one thousand years. His thousand year reign will be followed by the Great White Throne Judgment, the new Heaven, and the new earth. (Acts 1:11, Titus 2:13, I Corinthians 15:51-58, I Thessalonians 4:13-18, I Thessalonians 5:1-9, Revelation 19-22)
